Providing resources to people wanting to live or work in Australia and building a community

Looking for more Parent Support?

As a new migrant and parent, you may find yourself looking for a bit more support. Something I noticed and have found useful is the fact that Pharmacist often have community nurses stationed on their premises one day a week.

Community nurses will typically weigh and do a standard medical check on babies and young children.

They also give advice on and listen to your concerns with any pre-school children. They can also provide you with information or a list of local parent resources, places for parenting classes and where to go for difficulties or concerns with older children.
